There is precious little written History on the Kokni Community. Alot of the History has been passed down by word of mouth from generation to generation. However from the Twentieth  Century the proces of change in the whole world having increased rapidly compared to the previous centuries has brought about a big change in the locations and life styles of where people live. The KOKNI community is no exception to this rule with migration in masses taking place over the years from the Kokan regions. Hence this document produced by OMAR KHALIDI as part of his University Thesis is a very important insight into our past - particularly for all the KOKNI's who have migrated to all the corners of the Globe therefore historical links getting diluted or broken altogether.

This is a very interesting read and I would thoroughly recommend every Kokni to go through this document. I also urge that should any of the readers have any additional articles on the History of the Kokni's that they forward onto to the Webmaster so that I may post it to this Website for to enlighten All the Kokni's around the World.
