Kokni Muslim Association Birmingham
The images above are the vision of our New Purpose Built Masjid which we have named Masjid-e AL-FALAAH.
This will be built in the same location as where the existing Masjid was, which was demolished on the 3rd of September 2008. All current 5 x Salaah's are taking place next door in 32 Trinity Road (Madressa) until the new masjid is built.

Mashallah the work on our new masjid began at the beginning of September 2008.

Throughout the rebuilding phase we require a lot of financial support from all Muslim Brothers and Sisters.  The total amount required to rebuild the masjid is approximately £750,000 which is very low compared to many masjid projects around the UK which generally go into the millions.
Phase 1 (Completed) consisted the demolition of old prayer hall, ground work (foundations / drainage etc), erection of a steel super structure, first floor slab, the roof and stairs to the front and rear of the masjid. Phase 1 cost approximately £260,000 to complete which included all professional fees.
This money has been raised from Members and generous Muslim brothers and sisters like yourselves. Also various fund raising events have taken place over the last couple of years, other cities like London, Luton, Leicester and Blackburn have been visited to collect funds to accomplish the building of Allah's house. Various Masjids in England have also been visited to appeal for donations towards the masjid and also a live TV appeal in the month of Ramadhan 2008 has also been done.
Phase 2 (completed Ramadhan 2009) this consisted the brick and block work and all external windows and cost approx  £140,000 for this phase of work.

Mashallah (and we are all proud of this fact) that all contributions have come predominantly from the local community and at that from individual donors like yourselves .

Where are we at the moment with the project - Mashallah the windows have been fitted in the whole of the masjid during Ramadhan 2009 - so externally the work remaining are the doors, top of the minar and the dome as well as car parking and boundary walls.
Internally the design for the electrics and Heating is taking place at the moment. So the internal work is a complete fit out as only the bare internal walls exist at the moment. Therefore the full heating, lighting, internal doors, screeding the floors, finishing on the walls, wudhu and ghusl areas, lift, false ceilings etc are left to do.

Capacity of the masjid - approx 450 downstairs and 350 upstairs

Our approx estimate to get Allah's house completed is between £200,000 to £250,000.

How can you help - you could sponsor one of the outstanding work as listed above. Or if not in a position to do that then you may contribute whatever you can as sawaab -e- jariah as every little bit contributed counts and helps.

Therefore we are looking at individuals / families / organisations to make pledges.

There are two methods of making the required donations - a one off lump sum otherwise a regular payment via standing order.

To make a one of payment please deposit your Lillah into Lloyds TSB bank sort code 30-93-09 Acc No 04339635 and payment made payable to Kokni Muslim Association Birmingham.

To make a regular donation eg monthly or weekly please download this standing order form complete it and hand it to your bank.

Already alot of prospective applications have been tried to get financial donors from abroad from countries like Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait as well as several meetings with prominent people from this country to get help in securing the funds - todate without any success. Make dua that one of these applications can still become successful and thereby we can get our masjid completed as soon as possible.
